Since last 21st of october, COP16, the most important biodiversity event in the world, began in Cali where national and international attendees will gather to generate dialogues and make agreements on its conservation.
This space will feature a program of events, debates, discussions, and forums, divided into two main areas: the Blue Zone and the Green Zone.
What is the Blue Zone?
The Blue Zone is led by the United Nations and will be the place where member countries hold discussions on biodiversity through plenaries, roundtables, bilateral meetings, and more.
It is located at the Valle del Pacífico Events Center, the second largest and most modern event space in Colombia. Geographically, it is on the Cali-Yumbo highway, just 15 minutes from Alfonso Bonilla International Airport and 20 minutes from the hotel district in Santiago de Cali.
The infrastructure has a bioclimatic, multifunctional, and modular design, covering an area of 77,419 square meters and can be occupied by up to 12,000 people.

The Green Zone is a space designed to encourage the participation of society, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and other stakeholders in biological biodiversity.
It is located at Bulevar del Río Cali, known for its environmental, cultural, and social significance in the region, where it is expected to bring together COP16 attendees to emphasize the importance of biodiversity.
